As a coffee addict I explored  coffee history, its traditions and tastes. In the same way that Israel is a melting pot of cultures so are Israelis' coffee habits. I was inspired to design a cultural coffee maker using the process of the Moka maker - which is the traditional Italian coffee technique - while keeping the traditional Arabian material and technology of the Finjan.

 

In order to build pressure between the upper and lower parts I chose to use the handle as snap-fit for the two sections of the pot.

 

Inspiration for this project came from the Bialetti Moka Express and the traditional Arabian Finjan.
